You’ll be using Figma to create your assignment this week. Figma is a popular tool used for web design, and is relatively easy to pick up! You’ll likely use Figma to mock up webpages for assignments in the future as well.

Create a network diagram or concept sketches

As a first step towards building our Hypertext Narrative, let’s start by creating a diagram of the page/content structure of your website, or creating concept sketches that convey what the content might look like at a high level.

Review the linked project brief in detail before starting the assignment. I recommend using Figma or Figjam to create the diagram, but feel free to use a different tool (including hand-drawing).

Reference the examples linked in the project brief. And think through these high-level themes to generate ideas:

The website as a space, as a series of rooms
Re-purpose a piece of writing or poetry you admire, or have written in the past
Think of how one might approach the same experience with different perspectives
Networks - how the manifest in social interactions
Look at text-based narrative games for inspiration
